Howdy from the PNW

Howdy from the PNW

Postby dcarp » September 30th, 2008, 6:55 pm

Hello,

Looks like I\'m the first Northwesterner. Hope to run into a few PNW steelheaders here.

Ain\'t we a lucky bunch? Nooks, Chums, Coho, Pinks, Sockeye, Steelies and Sea Run Cutty\'s - and that\'s just the Ocean run Salmonoids! Move inland and we got Brookies, Bows, Bulls, Browns, resident Cutty\'s, Kokanee, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, etc.

For those of us that will occasionally grab the big gear - we even get to fish for dinosaurs - the good ole Pacific White Sturgeon. Go offshore for Albacore Tuna, Halibut and all sorts of salt creatures.

Doesn\'t get much better!

Tight Lines!

Dave

Hey Dave
I am one also. So close to the OR border I could cast my 1 weight and be there LOL. Well, I would actually need a rocket but this is Northern Cali, afterall. The real north Cali not the bay area.

Wow. A whole year since someone checked in here. I just found this site. Hope we can get some good tying ideas going for our area. Assuming, of course, you guys consider Idaho part of this area. ; )
