Extremely simple ... extremely inexpensive ... extremely easy.
thread, pearl flat braid, bead chain eyes and some head cement or sealant.
Start thread at hook eye and wrap back to start of hook bend. Tie in pearl braid and wrap thread back to hook eye.
Wrap braid forward to hook eye and tie in. Be sure braid is on top of the hook.
When braid is secure, measure two hook lengths, trim the braid, then comb it out.
Hold the combed out braid material back over body of the fly and wrap thread to tie it down. Wrap the thread back the length of your bead chain eye width.
Figure eight the bead chain eyes just behind hook eye. Use a whip finisher to complete the last several figure eights.
Apply a small amount of head cement to secure the thread.
Should be a killer on predators chasing small fry in the shallows.
