White for the Body. For the tail, just match your color
Body
2mm Craft foam. See tying instructions for step by step.
Body
3-D Fabric Paint(I used Tulip Brand)
Eyes
your favorite eyes. I prefer flat/2-D for this fly
Cement/Glue
dip the finished foam body in a Poly Varnish. I use two coats

Mottle with a Sharpie(optional)
Legs
Thread 2 sets of rubber legs through the popper body. Cross them. Invision an "X" shape as your finished.
Tail
EP Fibers. Or use your favorite substitute.
Tail
Stripe Tail with sharpie(optional)
Legs
Rubber legs on each side of tail
Hackle
Hackle to match color scheme of your fly

A Soft Bodied Popper. Pattern is by Anthony Hipps. I'll provide a link to his outstanding tutorial, instead of writing one myself. These fly are a bit time consuming, but not difficult to make.
