This dry fly has it's origins in New Zealand and is a favourite fly there. I also fish this fly here in Australia and it is one of my favourite dry flies. The hook size can vary depending on the hatch at the time but # 14 is my usual choice, can be tied from # 12 to #18. The fly floats well and has good visibility with the off white duck wings. Brownies and rainbows love this fly.
