This is a fly I like to use here in Oregon around the time of the October Caddis Hatch. It's your basic Stimulator with my own custom dubbing blend or angora dubbing. The mix is as follows: 1 part of each - blue, green, purple and yelllow: 2 parts of each - Orange and Brown. This is also a great dubbing to use on big stonefly nymph patterns. The great thing about Stimulators is that they are basically an attractor fly and can be used to imitate a number of bugs just by making a few color changes. I use them to imitate hoppers, stonefly adults, big caddis and any number of big flying critters.
