The Early Brown Stone is one of the first insects to grace Slate Run in Pa. The body of this fly is weighted and is usually fished deep. This fly has been tied with a bead. You may or may not wish to apply the bead. I used fine lead wire for weight. Tie a small ball of dubbing at the tail to get the biots to flare.

Early Brown Stone

Nice tie! Should be a fish magnet.
