Gigmaster

Joel C. Brothers wears many hats. A Doctor of Naturopathy (ND), with a Holistic Health Care Clinic in Tn., a professional musician who plays 8 instruments, and writes songs, a free-lance writer and author, and to top if off, an ordained minister. He is an avid outdoorsman who builds traditional bows, atlatls, slings and bolas, and is into primitive weapons and skills. He is a former U.S. Marine, and Former U.S. Navy diver and submariner. He began tying flies and flyfishing at a very early age, back in the early 1960s. Since then, he has fished all over the world, and writes about fishing for several publications. He has written a book on Crappie fishing, and a new one on Fly Tying is in the works.

Originally from Texas, he is skilled in all types of fishing, and for most species, but since moving to the pristine Cherokee National Forest in eastern Tn., he has focused on the beautiful trout and smallmouth bass streams, and rivers such as the Ocoee and Hiawassee. He has also recently taken up whitewater kayaking and canoeing, necesary skills to fish these rivers at times.

At age 50+, he continues to live a full life, playing music several times a week at local venues, operating a clinic, writing articles, and ministering to those in jails, prisons, shelters, and to others in need. He founded the United Spirituality Church/Universal Ministries as a non-profit organization to raise money for humanitarian purposes.

Joel can be reached at: 913 Jackson Lake Rd., Chatsworth, Ga. 30705 or by phone, (423) 241-3597
