Hello, is anyone out there...

Hello, is anyone out there...

Postby Proslackass » Thu Jul 24, 2008 2:42 pm

Well either there is no one from Colorado on this website, or no one wants to say “Hey” to the guy with the “CPR” avatar. Really I am not a bad person!!

Anyway, has any one fished below the “Button Rock Res”?
Go to http://maps.google.com/maps and type in “Button Rock Reservoir, CO”. Anyone have any beta on fishing below the dam???

Howdy, not from Colorado ( but fished deckers) does that count Lol\'
Guess Ill introduce myself I\'m Don from the Lone star state @ 40 mi north of Dallas in Denton county. where warm water flyfishing is the standard fare, I stalk the golden ghost (carp), long nosed gar,LMB, hybrid stripers, sandbass and all sorts of assorted Gilles (brim), ocasionally I go up to the Lower mountain fork river in OK to fish for the finicky trout. Looking forward to getting to know you folks

Hey Wyatt,

How is the Poudre fishing? I may be coming up that way next weekend. Do you have any suggestions for some good fishing in your area? I do not mind hiking for it.

Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan
Have had some luck in the Wild Trout waters just below Rustic and a little luck up by the hatchery, it is getting better each week, I am hoping to get caught up enough this week to go up by Rustic Sunday, this heat wave has everyones car breaking down (bad for them good for me), as you drive up the Poudre when you see the sign for the Wild Trout waters before Rustic the river goes north aways and there is a pulloff and a trail to hike across a field about a 1/4 mile to the river, usually no people for a half mile either direction, due to flys and lures, catch and release only and a bit of a hike it gets less pressure.

PS take plenty of water to drink.
