I have been tying flies for many years now and have a keen interest in Fly fishing for Trout, Bass, Saratoga and the many estuary species that frequent South East Queensland, Australia.

I tie flies for all these types of fish and that keeps me busy. Since February 2006, I have established a fly tying business called Fresh and Saltwater Fly Designs Australia which has a website and a place in my home to run the show and tie the flies for my clients. It keeps me busy and has many added advantages with meeting and talking to people from all around the world about flies and fly tying.

I have included a photo of one of my recent captures of a Saratoga which are a native fish of Australia and a great fighting, fly taking fish. I caught this beauty on my Taransky cane 5 wt fly rod, a Payne 101 taper.
