Jay Zimmerman
Jay Zimmerman is a fly fishing guide, instructor and shop manager at Rocky Mountain Anglers in Boulder, Colorado. Jay is a contract fly designer for Umpqua Feather Merchants and has served four years as an infantry paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, worked as a commercial halibut fisherman on Kodiak Island, Alaska, as a moose hunting guide out of Galena, AK and bear guide in Ontario, Canada. Jay has published a collection of his adventures in the book “In Neck Deep” (Bottom Dog Press). Jay began tying flies at the age of 12, and creating his own fly patterns at the same time…out of necessity, because he could not follow instructions.
